thanks for the help but am uk resident so dont qualify ! thanks anyway Sherri C replied: "I would avoid payday loans, as the lending rates are beyond being predatory.
In answer to your question, have you ever defaulted on a payday loan or had an issue with a rent to own company? If so, you are most likely in Teletrak, which is a company that tracks subprime transactions. I understand that most payday loan companies use Teletrak as opposed to the credit reporting agencies.
If your credit rating is okay, why don't you try for a loan with your bank?"
Jeremy Kitching replied: "They probably keep declining you because they know you can pay it back and won't get trapped in their cycle. LOL!
Seriously, though, what do they say as the reason you are declined? Another option, if you own your car, is to go to Title Max or something like that."
Samantha J replied: "if you only need the money for a week - it is really better to try and do without. But if you are set on a quick loan try these:
Pay day loans - Borrow Source -
this one is rally for bad credit loans - but as you are havving difficulties - Ifs loans -
really for loans or credit cards but might suit your needs - Abacus Credit -"
George replied: "You can find Loan Shark online.
Many Loan Sharks have there websites and best thing you can apply online ie. no paper work.
Here are some best loan sharks in your area
"
Skyla replied: "The process of obtaining any type of payday loan begins with submitting a payday loan application. While filling up the payday loan application form you may have to answer some queries. The benefit of beingdirectly from your computer. You can find links to payday loan application at the bottom of this article. There is also another alternative, that is you lookup search engines and compare several payday lending agencies from there."
shellanswerman replied: "Try for a personal loan up to $25K with rates as low as 6% at"
don a replied: "There are quite a lot of places where you can get a payday loan online, and you are quite right to check them out at BBB. Here's a website
"
SOILWORK replied: "Here's a non-spam response: You should try discountadvances.com . They're very reliable, cheap, and fast. There's hardly any verification and no faxing. And if you do decide to check them out, please use referral code: XJNZQE" Who thinks payday loan companies should be banned in every state? I fell into the payday loan trap, which I struggled my way out of. Now when I see someone going into one of those places, I just want to run grab them and pull them in the opposite direction! I hate predatory lenders. foxymoron replied: "they dont trick you in to getting a loan from them... its your responsiblty to be responsible with your money... i have on occassion since my divorce needed one.... and it came it handy.... try using a budget"
pickles replied: "yes yes yes, they take advantage of the usually poor and are loan sharks that are illegal.....if they can do it then why cant the mafia"
Tom H replied: "I think it makes more sense to teach Personal Finances rather than Geometry/Calc/higher level math, as most people would benefit much more from learning about interest rates, savings accounts, Roth IRAs, credit cards, mortgages, etc.
Payday advance companies will always exist as long as the market proves there is a need for it. There is a need primarily because children aren't educated in how to manage their income versus their expenses."
lil_darlin replied: "they should be banned. they take advantage of that scared and helpless feeling you get when you got to have money now and are afraid of a bank or loan financial company turning you down."
outlawimmortal2 replied: "I don't think they should be banned but,i think they should regulated more as to the interest they are charging on those loans.Consumers need to be more responsible when taking these loans because these people charge more interest than the mob."
bdancer222 replied: "I don't understand how they can operate legally now. They definitely exceed the legal threshold for usury laws.
But I most definitely think we should have required classes starting in elementary school on financial management, including record keeping, banking, budgets, credit, etc." Are there any payday loan companies that accept MetaBank customers? I opened an account with accountnow, and I have my debit card and everything, but I need a payday loan and can't find anyone that will accept that bank. Does anybody know of any? replied: "" "What legal action can those payday loan companies take for default payments in Texas, and what are the chances "What legal action can those payday loan companies take for default payments in Texas, and what are the chances of formal charges...its not over a grand??" I have heard that pestering is what they do most.Anyone ever hear bout paying someone you owe a dollar a month, and you cant be charged legally?? entidtil replied: "The theory that paying only a $1.00 a month will keep you out of trouble is just a myth. If you were hauled before a judge, he would tell you that you have to make a sincere effort to pay. $1.00 a month is not a sincere effort."
Maggie BR replied: "I don't know about Texas but in Kansas if it is over 500.00 you got a big problem if they choose to sue. Legally you can pay them any amount a month but if you are in default they can refuse any payment arrangements less the balance in full and sue you even if you are making payments. They can talk to you or leave one message a day but they can call 20 times a day if they want to. Also you probably gave them references so they will call them also. I have a friend that defaulted on 2 and bugged her until she paid."
Mo replied: "When you borrow money from those places, you are also agreeing to their terms. Your checks will be garnished until the interest and penalties are covered." I'm a victim of identity theft and I'm getting calls from Payday loan companies requesting money for loans? I never requested nor benefited from the loans but the payday loan companies are insisting that I pay them even though I filed and ICC complaint with the FBI per the instruction of my local police department... what do I do? Studly replied: "I'm not exactly sure what an "icc complaint" is....or how the FBI has ever gotten involved with ID Theft complaints.....it sounds more like your local police is just trying to pass the buck and not do their job.
This time, contact the police and demand that they file a report. If they don't, at least demand an incident report and get a copy. Next, go to the FTC site and read up on their identity theft info. Specifically you will be looking for a copy of their ID Theft affidavit. Fill it out, get it notarized, and send it to the payday people, along with the police report.
Monitor your credit report to make sure they don't try to put negative info on it."
ibu guru replied: "Give them each a copy of the police report and the ICC complaint with a letter stating that you are the victim of identity theft which has been reported to local police and the FBI, that these are not your loans nor any obligation of yours, and that if they contact you further, you will take legal action against them.
Use proper business form for your letter. Under your signature line, put "cc: Attorney General, State of ___, Consumer Protection Division" and send copies of your letters with copies of the enclosures right there. This puts your state's Attorney General on the case, too. You can (should!) also send copies of these letters to the same place you filed the ICC complaint with the FBI, noting same under the "cc:" line.
Check your credit reports with annualcreditreport.com, the official website for your free annual credit report under the law. Then follow the directions there for identity theft victims to put a freeze on your credit report."
Ronald replied: "Could you tell us exactly what this means
"nor benefited from the loans"?"
MK replied: "I am trying to figure out why you thumbs downed Ronald. I think the question is a VERY valid one based on how your question is being asked. What do you mean by (never benefited from the loans)? I will be even bolder hear I smell fraud on somes ones part and it ain't the PayDay loan places." Are there any highstreet payday loan companies that use alternatives to guaranteed cheques? Looking for a cash loan but don't have a guarantee card. Any ideas (except money shop). Live in Nottingham! Brooklyn replied: "If you are not prepared for a financial emergency, you are not alone. Most double and single income households do not have the resources saved to protect themselves in an emergency!
Behind on a monthly utility? No big deal for some, but for those who are just a short time from payday, the costs of paying for utility re-connects far outweigh the cost of most payday loans. So, why not just kite a check? Now you are facing the possibility of the check bouncing and having to pay the bounce fees (usually very high)."
Madeline B replied: "I've searched all around for a quick payday loan online, and the best one I found, and that I've used a several times was a good website - the interest rate is acceptable and they put the funds in by the next day. I hope this helps you, best of luck!
I've found some good sources here...
Good Luck." Are there any payday loan companies that send money without any communication first? I'm trying to find the name of two companies that only sent an email saying the funds were on the way and never communicated by phone. They didn't verify anything and just deposited the money into the account. Come pay day, they took the money out and I wasn't even aware they had deposited it. No idea of the real names of these companies. Kris replied: "I have been doing this lately to make extra money. All you do is answer yes/no survey questions online. Each survey is only 3 minutes long. This company pays you for your thoughts. It's that simple. A check is sent to your house. Great way for teens and moms to get spending money. No scam here! I have 18 checks to prove it! Free! No cost to you.

Sonia replied: "If you have a bad credit history still the loan market place is full of lenders who are ever willing to offer you a fresh loan. But you should be meeting some conditions laid down by the lenders. Loans for bad credit people are in fact easier to get then they were ever before, thanks mainly to cut-throat competition amongst the lenders. Lenders are giving loans to the bad credit people who have late payments, payment defaults, arrears, county court judgments or any credit problems. These loans are available for any purpose like home improvements, purchasing a new or used car of your choice, for wedding and holiday tour, debt consolidation or for paying child’s tuition fees.
--house.blogspot.com/2008/03/bad-credit-loans.html
Every lender in approving loans surely likes to see if the bad credit borrower has sufficient capacity to repay the loan in timely manner. If the borrower earns well, has regular bank balance, has been an employee for some years and has a convincing loan repayment plan in place, then the lenders do not usually hesitate much. So ensure that you have adequate repaying capacity before applying for a loan. Also, you should first check your credit report for any errors. If your credit score is too low then you would be charged a very high rate of interest. So it is advisable to first pay off some easy debts to improved credit score and then you should apply for loan at better rates.

" Can anyone give me any links to payday loan companies they have had postive results when dealing with? Also i only have a savings account so i know only certain ones would be able to loan me money.....Thanks for your help!!!! bdancer222 replied: "There is no such payday loan company. Find some other way. All payday loan companies have outrageous interest rates -- more than 600%. If you're short this week, you'll be even shorter next week when you have to pay that interest first.
You would literally be better off to pay some bill late. The late fee will be much less than the payday loan interest."
Sherri F replied: "Dont do it, I did it and they agree to take out 70.00 a month and then out of the blue they took 650.00 and now I am in worse shape as they dont uphold their end!! they clean you out and not care!!!"

Ray S replied: "you will be making the biggest mistake of your life even vito corleone find these places repulsive, go to friend, or family member, right now there are numerous class action suits and they are literally being run out of town"
Steven H replied: "I wouldn't trust any reviews you see online. Most sites are just spam. Your best bet is not doing a loan online, but going into a center. Payday loan centers have the best rep by far.
You can find a center by using google or going to paydayfinder.com
http:www.paydayfinder.com" ARE THERE ANY REAL PAYDAY LOAN COMPANIES on line, NOT A REFERRAL SITE ? I know all the pros and cons in regards to payday loans but in the course of my research i keep coming across referral sites not acutal loan companies. These sites then offer everything but what I'm looking for - a loan. If anyone knows of an actual loan site i would very much appreciate the address. christmas here i come!! replied: "www.paydayloan.com
but i don't recommend using them, but you already know the pros and cons, so it's your choice!! but i will tell you, they are all crooks!!

Here are a few:
nationwidecash.com
upfrontpayday.com
fast-cash-personal-loans.com
usfastcash.com
usapaydayloan.com
I put them in order of how I would rank them from best to worst."
Steve replied: "Hello, Sheila.
As the old saying goes:
"Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day,
Teach a person to fish and you feed them for a lifetime."
Before I provide a link to a list of real lenders, I will try to give you a few tips to help you find actual lenders and avoid referral sites (which are, in many cases, spammers and/or identity thieves).
Of course, I do *not* recommend payday loans. It looks like you have done your homework and are already aware of the dangers so I will not try to dissuade you. Also, I am sure you are already aware of cheaper options like credit unions so I won't waste your time with that, either.
Tips to Avoid Fake Payday Loan Sites:
Note: By "fake" I mean referral sites, spammers, identity thieves and any other sites that are not real lenders or do not actually provide loans.
*Avoid sites that send you commercial e-mail (spam).
*Avoid sites that advertise in forums (comment spam).
*Avoid sites that advertise in pay-per-click ads (organic search engine results tend to be more reliable).
*Avoid sites that do not post an APR (Annual Percentage Rate) table. This is required by the Truth in Lending Act and sites that do not provide APR information are likely rogue sites.
*Avoid sites that do not have a price list (usually price per $100 or multiple thereof). If the site asks you to submit ANY information before they give you such a price, run!
*Avoid lenders that do not list detailed and complete contact information (including physical address and toll-free telephone number). Phone them to ask questions. If you get an answering machine during business hours, run!
*Check to make sure the site uses SSL (secure socket layer) encryption to transfer data (the URL will start with https instead of http).
*Check the WHOIS information and do a Reverse IP check. If the WHOIS information is hidden or the site is hosted on a shared IP address, then it is likely a referral site and not a real lender.
*Avoid lenders that are not licensed by your state regulatory agency for payday loans.
These tips are based on the following article (which goes into more detail)...
Payday Loan Checklist - Ten Things You Must Do Before Applying for an Online Payday Loan:
Now that we have that out of the way, lets take a look at at a list of real lenders. The site that is the source of the above information has a Payday Lender Comparison Table that lists "actual lenders" and sites to avoid...
Payday Lender Comparison Table:
(In addition to listing real lenders and those to avoid, the above table compares prices/fees, maximum loan amount and other loan terms. Be sure the confirm these terms with the actual lender's website - the table information may be outdated.)
To check a loan site registrant and IP address...
WHOIS Service with Reverse IP:
To check if a lender is properly licensed in your state...
State Regulatory Agencies for Payday Loans:
Again, I do *not* recommend payday loans or any of the lenders listed in the comparison table. Please avoid them if at all possible.
As you are well aware, carrying out financial transactions online has many risks. If you must take out a payday loan, please consider a "brick-and-mortar" payday loan shop that is legally licensed in your state.
Good luck, Sheila. I hope you find the information you are looking for." How many times can payday loan companies try to withdraw money from your overdrawn bank account? Is there a number of times they can electronically try to get money from your account? My account is currently overdrawn and I can't pay and they keep getting me more and more overdraft fees. How can it be stopped? Its impossible for me to pay off at this rate. Can Bank of America do something even thoguh i am overdrawn? boilerette72 replied: "Have you tried calling BoA and asking?"
src50 replied: "You authorized the lender to do so when you took the loan. Close the account."
kapn replied: "As many times as the account is open and you can afford to pay the overdraft fee............."
Cindy C replied: "if you go to the bank and ask for a stop payment on any amounts from that pay day loan company, you will not be charged overdraft fees. Usually the stop payment fee is $10 to $15." |
